Brad and Bob spent Monday down in Waco visiting more than 20 used car dealers and they came back with several new ideas for services for the used market. Dealers who focus on the “buy here, pay here” market often have difficult decisions to make early in their relationship with consumers. For example, say a dealer sells a late model domestic to a consumer and shortly after their third payment the transmission fails. The consumer isn’t going to keep the car with a failed transmission and they usually don’t have the money necessary to pay for the repair. The dealer must decide if they will cover the cost of the repair and retain the client or cover the cost of the repair and sell the vehicle to another consumer. In many cases the dealer just eats the cost of the repair to retain the client. With WhiteBox the dealer can offer to finance the repair. The dealer simply fills out our online contract, enters the consumers checking account information and has the consumer sign the electronic signature pad. WhiteBox will then collect from the consumer on a monthly basis remitting the funds as collected to the dealer.
